Vivienne Palin

Bonjour! 안녕하세요! Hello!

My name is Vivienne, I write children’s books, and I’m sixteen years old.

I was born in Texas, but lived overseas for ten years of my life, from Kazakhstan to South Korea and many places in between. I also traveled around the United States in an RV for two years with my family, and now I reside in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley of Alaska

I’ve loved to write stories for as long as I can remember. The ones I wrote when I was really young were very silly, but in class or while at home, while everyone else drew pictures or read a book, I wrote stories.

Along with writing, I enjoy hiking, reading, camping, traveling, skiing, photography, playing the piano.

Fun Facts About Me:

  • I play the piano
  • My favorite color is purple
  • I’m studying Slovak and Russian
  • I live in Alaska
  • I’ve tried the smelliest fruit in the world, the durian… and ate a ton of it!
  • I’m homeschooled, but I’ve also attended several international schools in Asia and Europe
  • My dad is also an author.
  • My favorite books include: The Explorer Academy series (Trudi Trueit), The Adventurers series (Jemma Hatt), The Eighth Continent series (Matt London), the Ramona series (Beverly Cleary), and Relatively Normal Secrets (C. W. Allen) – quite a few series, I know!

About my Books

I write middle grade books! I love writing adventurous stories that have elements of fantasy and surrealism.  I’ve independently published one book and have two more on the way!

The Magic Sphere

It was just another regular day in nine-year-old Chloe Teem’s town of Terast. Not one thing was out of the ordinary… Until the clock struck five past twelve.

In just the blink of an eye, the once bustling town of Terast turned eerily silent. Nobody moved. Nobody talked. Nobody blinked. Everyone was frozen. Except Chloe.

Join Chloe and two friends on a magical adventure as they attempt to unravel the mystery behind their unusual dilemma—and fix it before it’s too late.

The Red Riding Hood Disaster

A delightful short story for your young readers 5+ years old, with twists, turns and many chuckles along the way! Get ready for a Grand Adventure! It all starts when Olivia Reeson gets woken up by a little girl who demands Olivia to get her chocolate ice cream and chocolate cake. After much chaos and trouble, Olivia realizes the problem with the little girl—she was under an evil spell. The only way to break the spell is by solving a riddle. Will Olivia solve the riddle in order to break the spell?
